Last updated: 9 June 2026
Please read these Terms carefully before using CVBot. If you do not agree to them, do not use the service. These Terms are intended to be clear and practical, but they are not a substitute for legal advice.
CVBot is operated by CompFused ("CompFused", "CVBot", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of CVBot, including our website, application, APIs, CV creation tools, AI-assisted features, billing flows, public sharing pages, and related services.
Company address: [CompFused registered address placeholder]. Legal contact: [legal contact email placeholder]. Support contact: support@cvbot.app.
These Terms are an initial business-facing version and should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before production use.
You must be at least 16 years old to use CVBot. If local law requires a higher age to enter into these Terms or use online services, that higher age applies.
You are responsible for providing accurate account information, keeping your login credentials secure, and all activity that happens under your account. If you use CVBot on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that organisation to these Terms.
Some features require email verification, an active session, a paid plan, an eligible organisation role, or other access checks. We may suspend or restrict access if we reasonably believe your account is compromised, used unlawfully, or used in breach of these Terms.
CVBot helps users create, upload, parse, edit, translate, optimize, style, render, export, and share CVs and related professional documents. Features may include AI-assisted CV conversion, job-description optimization, ATS compatibility support, PDF or DOCX export, public CV pages, enterprise customer workflows, and usage dashboards.
CVBot is a productivity tool. We do not act as an employer, recruiter, immigration adviser, legal adviser, tax adviser, or career guarantee provider. You remain responsible for deciding whether any CV, profile, statement, generated text, or exported document is accurate, lawful, appropriate, and suitable for your intended use.
You retain ownership of CVs, uploaded documents, profile information, job descriptions, customer or candidate records, prompts, edits, outputs, and other materials that you submit to CVBot ("Customer Content").
You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, copy, process, transmit, display, convert, optimize, render, export, and otherwise use Customer Content only as needed to provide, secure, support, maintain, and improve the service you requested.
You confirm that you have the rights, permissions, consents, and lawful basis required to upload and process Customer Content, including personal data about candidates, customers, employees, contractors, referees, or other third parties.
CVBot uses software automation and may use third-party AI providers to parse CVs, convert documents, structure data, translate content, suggest improvements, optimize CVs for job descriptions, and generate related outputs.
AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, or unsuitable for a particular role, country, employer, ATS system, legal requirement, or professional context. You must review and edit all AI-generated or AI-assisted content before relying on it, publishing it, sending it to an employer, or using it in any application.
We do not guarantee that CVBot will produce a perfect CV, improve your ranking in applicant tracking systems, secure interviews, obtain employment, meet local employment law requirements, or satisfy any employer, recruiter, government agency, university, or professional body.
We do not use Customer Content to train AI models. Where third-party AI providers process Customer Content, they do so to provide the requested CVBot functionality and under the applicable provider, security, and data-processing arrangements used by CVBot.
CVs can contain sensitive information. You should avoid uploading or publishing unnecessary sensitive data, including government identifiers, financial details, health information, precise home addresses, protected-class information, confidential employer data, or information about children.
If you use CVBot for candidates, customers, employees, contractors, or other people, you are responsible for informing them, obtaining any required consents, and ensuring you have a lawful basis to process their personal data in CVBot. This is especially important for enterprise workflows where workers create CVs for customers or candidates.
CVBot may offer Free, Basic, Pro, Enterprise, credit-pack, trial, coupon, or promotional access. Plans may include monthly AI credits, CV limits, storage limits, model-tier access, PDF generation limits, public sharing eligibility, concurrent job limits, organisation seats, and other quotas.
Credits and limits are designed to control usage and platform cost. Monthly credits may reset at the end of the relevant billing period and may not roll over unless we expressly say otherwise. Purchased credits may be tracked separately from plan credits and may be subject to purchase caps, expiry, and eligibility rules.
If you exceed a limit, CVBot may reject, delay, rate-limit, or block an operation until you upgrade, buy additional credits, reduce usage, wait for reset, or otherwise become eligible. Enterprise and high-volume use may be subject to fair-use controls, abuse prevention, and additional commercial terms.
Paid plans and credit purchases are processed through Stripe or another payment provider we identify. You authorise recurring charges for subscription plans unless and until you cancel according to the applicable billing flow.
Prices, currencies, taxes, billing intervals, plan features, and seat quantities may vary by region, tenant type, promotion, or plan. Enterprise plans may be billed per active seat or under separately agreed commercial terms.
Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, new paid subscriptions may be eligible for a 30-day refund during the first billing cycle. Mid-cycle subscription refunds may be prorated where we support them. One-time credit purchases are generally non-refundable except where required by law or where we determine that a technical issue prevented use of the purchased credits.
Failed payments may lead to reminders, retry attempts, a grace period, downgrade, suspension, loss of paid features, or cancellation. If a paid plan is downgraded, features such as public sharing, advanced models, extra seats, or higher quotas may stop working at the end of the paid period or earlier where required for security or compliance.
CVBot may allow eligible users to publish CV pages, generate public URLs, protect shared pages with PIN or invitation access, approve or deny access requests, revoke grants, and unpublish content.
You are responsible for deciding what to publish and who may access it. Access controls reduce accidental exposure but are not a substitute for careful review of the content you share. Do not publish confidential, sensitive, unlawful, misleading, or third-party content unless you have the right to do so.
Public sharing may be limited to specific plans such as Pro or Enterprise. If your plan no longer includes public sharing, we may disable or block public access to previously published CVs, even if old sharing settings still exist.
Organisation owners and admins may manage seats, members, roles, billing, customer records, candidate data, CV creation flows, usage information, audit logs, and other workspace settings. They are responsible for configuring access appropriately and ensuring that workers use CVBot lawfully.
If an organisation uses CVBot to create or manage CVs for customers, candidates, employees, or other third parties, the organisation is responsible for the relationship with those people, including notices, consents, instructions, accuracy checks, retention decisions, and responses to data rights requests.
Organisation users may lose access if a seat is removed, a role changes, a subscription expires, a workspace is downgraded, or an administrator disables access.
You must not use CVBot to break the law, infringe rights, impersonate others, misrepresent credentials, generate fraudulent applications, upload malware, scrape or attack the service, bypass quotas or security controls, reverse engineer restricted functionality, overload infrastructure, or process data you are not allowed to process.
You must not use CVBot to create discriminatory, deceptive, harassing, defamatory, exploitative, illegal, or harmful content. We may remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, or report activity where we reasonably believe misuse has occurred.
CVBot depends on third-party services for hosting, storage, authentication, payments, email delivery, AI processing, document parsing, analytics, monitoring, and other operational needs. These may include providers such as Stripe, Supabase, Resend, cloud hosting and storage providers, AI model providers, and document-processing services.
Third-party services may change, fail, be unavailable in certain regions, impose usage limits, or require additional terms. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control, but we choose and configure providers with security and reliability in mind.
We may make CVBot available to users in the United Kingdom, United States, European Union, China, Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern countries, Russia, and other regions. Availability does not mean that every feature, payment method, language, model provider, export format, or support channel is available everywhere.
You are responsible for complying with local laws that apply to your use of CVBot, including employment, privacy, consumer protection, export control, sanctions, and professional rules. We may restrict access, features, payments, or support in a country or region where required by law, provider limitations, sanctions, security risk, or commercial reasons.
Our processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. These Terms and the Privacy Policy work together, but they serve different purposes: these Terms govern the contract for using CVBot, while the Privacy Policy explains how personal data is collected, used, shared, retained, and protected.
For business and enterprise customers, additional data-processing terms may apply where required by law or agreed in writing. If there is a conflict between these Terms and a signed data-processing agreement, the signed data-processing agreement controls for the covered processing.
We may add, remove, rename, redesign, limit, or change features, plans, models, templates, pricing, providers, quotas, integrations, and workflows. We will try to avoid changes that materially harm active paid users without reasonable notice, but some changes may be immediate for security, legal, operational, or provider-related reasons.
CVBot may be interrupted by maintenance, incidents, network issues, provider outages, abuse prevention, high load, regional blocking, or circumstances beyond our control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.
CVBot is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, employment success, ATS success, and error-free operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of profits, lost opportunities, lost employment prospects, lost data, business interruption, or reputational harm.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability will be limited to the greater of: (a) the amount you paid to CVBot in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) USD 100. These limits do not apply where prohibited by mandatory law.
You may stop using CVBot at any time. You may cancel paid subscriptions through the available billing flow, subject to any plan-specific terms and payment provider processes.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, create legal or security risk, misuse AI or sharing features, infringe third-party rights, or use CVBot in a way that could harm users, candidates, customers, providers, infrastructure, or CompFused.
After termination, certain provisions continue, including payment obligations, ownership, licences needed for prior processing, disclaimers, liability limits, privacy and retention provisions, and dispute terms.
Because CVBot is intended for international availability, some users may have mandatory local rights that cannot be waived. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited, including applicable consumer, privacy, employment, or data-protection rights.
Unless mandatory local law requires otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of [governing law placeholder], and disputes will be handled by the courts of [venue placeholder]. We should replace these placeholders after legal review, especially before broad launch in the UK, US, EU, China, Saudi Arabia or other Middle Eastern countries, Russia, or other regulated regions.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as through the app, email, or an updated effective date. Continued use of CVBot after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
